Remaining angry feels horrible while forgiving someone brings a refreshing sensation to the mind and healing to the relationship. ![]() Grudges only bring more misery to those who hold them and prevent good relations with the target. Forgiveness is something that most people fail miserably at even thought it’s so simple. The ability to forgive is a mental, emotional and/or spiritual process of releasing resentment, anger, or ill feelings you have towards another person. Do whatever it takes to get back to a positive mindset as such is essential for continual happiness and success. Slap yourself in the face, yell something positive at the top of your lungs or jump up and down. When you find yourself thinking a negative thought, stop it immediately by any means necessary. The more you give in to your negative thoughts, the stronger they become. Negative thoughts drain you of energy and keep you from being in the present moment. Having negative thoughts play out like a movie can only bring you pain. Most people do not take these words seriously, as they do not know what they really mean, or do not consider them as useful and effective. It is quite common to hear people say: “Think positive!”, to someone who feels down and worried. Do something you truly love and have fun doing it! Life is not strictly business, it can be mixed with pleasure. And most importantly do things that you enjoy! Smile. Be amused by your mistakes and failures and be thankful that you learned your lesson and won’t mess up like that again. Learn to laugh at the little things and this whole “existence” thing will be a whole lot easier. A solemn outlook increases stress, squanders creativity and innovation, and stifles progress. Life is serious and taking it too seriously robs you of happiness, fun and productivity.
